As for most major cities, traffic in Montreal is very dense, and it is sometimes quicker to use public transportation. Montreal's streets, boulevards and avenues generally are in either a north-south or east-west axis. Street numbers east and west go in two directions, increasing west of St-Laurent boulevard, and increasing east of St-Laurent boulevard (St-Laurent divides the city in two).

The hotel is located right next to the Place-d'Armes Metro station, which is only a very short walk away. To get there, turn left on Bleury street when you exit the hotel, then continue on Bleury until you reach the Palais des Congres (convention center). Enter the convention center (Palais des Congres), which is the first building you will encounter after crossing Viger ave. Following the signs, take the long corridor and you will reach the Place-d'Armes Metro (subway) station. Click here for a map.

If your destination is in Downtown Montreal, given the hotel's location, the fastest way of reaching it could be by walking. If you plan on using the public transit network, Montreal's subway system, the Metro, allows connections with the bus system. Additionally, several commuter train lines serve Downtown Montreal. Several taxicab companies serve Downtown Montreal. Rates and standards are determined by law. Quality varies a lot depending on the driver and vehicle.
